Many of you who own an Xbox 360 might have bought one before 2010. While there's no difference in graphics or gameplay, the new version of the console comes with a few extras and tweaks that make it worth taking a look at. The first thing gamers will notice is the appearance. The new 360 looks more like a desktop PC than a gaming console, but it doesn't stand out as much as the older models. Also, the hard drive is inside instead of on the top (if you're standing it up on its side).

On the inside, there are a couple of new additions to the regular Xbox 360's hardware. The biggest one is built-in WiFi. You can still use wired connections, but now it's easier if you can't run a cable to the router. It also supports draft-N, giving you the ability to play online and stream HD content with the fastest speeds possible. Before this, you had to buy a wireless adapter to enjoy your entertainment without wires.

If you want or already own the Kinect motion camera, the redesigned Xbox 360 has a modified USB port just for the device. It allows the camera to use one port for data and the power it needs instead of having it plugged into the console and a power outlet. Less ports equals easier setup.

If you're running out of space and want to upgrade, the new Xbox 360 comes with a 250GB hard drive to hold your game saves, downloadable content, movies and more. Usually, it's hard to even find a 60GB hard drive for the older models, much less 250. If you need to transfer data to a newer 360, there's a special cable you can buy and most USB sticks up to 16GB are supported by both versions. Another minor change to the console is something you'll have to listen for. The cooling fans run much quieter than the older Xbox 360s, making it sound more like an electronic device and less like a NASA supercomputer about to catch fire. This was a pet peeve for some Xbox owners, but it wasn't enough to keep them from playing games. It was just one of those items at the bottom of the list that got checked off by Steve Ballmer and Co.

You can buy the new Xbox 360 with either 4 or 250GB of memory and with the Kinect motion camera if you want that too. There are also special editions that come with a couple games. If you're a fan of Halo, the Halo: Reach edition not only has the game and a limited edition silver controller but the system is decked out with silver paint as well. Beyond that, the redesigned Xbox 360 is great for those who don't have one or wish to upgrade. If you have or want one, but don't need the built-in WiFi, the older systems will do just fine (until they're sold out).
